Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate is seeking a Systems Engineer II who will support X-Band Radar technology that includes performing radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our Woburn, MA location. This includes supporting systems data analysis and integration tasks and working competing priorities. Typical daily activities executed by the team include working in the String Lab with field returns, debugging hardware failures, testing the Radar Software, troubleshooting Site issues, technical data package updates, and working on Product Modernization upgrades.
What You Will Do
Support integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation events, execute regression testing, and perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations. Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications. Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules. Integrate and test radar system hardware upgrades and software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities. Troubleshoot failed hardware components sent from a radar site. Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness reviews). Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and ensure compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies. Willingness for 5% travel Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming Hardware experience troubleshooting electronic systems.
Qualifications
We Prefer Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations, and integrating or regression testing radar systems with certifications in CompTIA Network+ and or CompTIA Security+.
