About this role
Amazon's Economic Development Policy (EDP) team seeks an experienced professional to support investments in the Americas. This position is based in Seattle. Travel will be required. We are looking for an experienced economic development professional to support our rapidly growing business operations and real estate footprint in North America. As a manager in this role, you will be responsible for engaging with state and local economic development, planning, transportation, transit, permitting and enforcement agencies to expand our physical footprint and support new and existing investments. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and able to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. Key job responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders on new infrastructure locations and site expansion plans. • Support the site selection process, including due diligence, permitting, and project approvals. • Develop workforce and public/private partnership opportunities. • Craft agreements and partnerships to support projects and local communities. • Manage relationships with economic development organizations and community stakeholders. • Oversee outside counsel, developers, and other professional service providers. • An ability and desire to travel is required.
