Job Description
As a Logistics Speialist for/at Logistic Execution Department you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Manage day-to-day relationships with transportation carriers, freight providers, and logistics partners. Source, evaluate, onboard, and maintain qualified carriers in accordance with company requirements. Identify carrier performance issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions. Support transportation planning and capacity management by maintaining an effective carrier network. Resolve carrier-related operational, billing, service, and performance issues in a timely manner. Provide regular reporting and recommendations to management regarding carrier performance and network opportunities. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field preferred. 2–5 years of experience in carrier management, transportation, logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations. Experience working with freight carriers, 3PLs, transportation providers, or logistics partners. Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience in process standardization, centralization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) Experience with TMS, ERP, or transportation procurement systems is an advantage.
