Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.   An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

Work in a cleanroom environment Handle GaAs and GaN wafers Assist with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes Perform and document optical microscope inspections Perform scanning electron microscope imaging Failure analysis and Data analysis What You Will Learn: Wafer fabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition and etch processes Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques  Qualifications You Must Have: Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major. Must have a Minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session Qualifications We Prefer: High level of intellectual curiosity Interest in semiconductor processing Strong academic background Good written and oral communication skills Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
