Prepare clear, audit-ready accounting memoranda documenting relevant facts, authoritative guidance, judgments, and conclusions. Commercial and Business Partnership Advise Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal on nonstandard contract terms, identifying accounting implications early and recommending practical alternatives that support business objectives. Partner with Product, Pricing, and Finance on new offerings and go-to-market initiatives, establishing accounting treatment and operational requirements before launch. Evaluate how contractual rights, provisioning, activation, service availability, and consumption affect revenue recognition. Develop contract review guidelines and training that help business partners recognize terms requiring accounting review. Partner with FP&A to assess the implications of significant transactions and new offerings for revenue forecasts and key metrics, including ARR and NPAVC, and clarify their relationship to GAAP revenue. Financial Reporting Controls and Audit Provide technical oversight of significant revenue judgments, estimates, and unusual transactions during quarterly and annual reporting. Partner with Revenue Accounting and Financial Reporting on revenue disclosures, remaining performance obligations, contract balances, and related reporting requirements. Lead discussions with external auditors on revenue
