Growing together In this role in UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual, you will support and manage strategic partnerships for the UnitedHealthcare Store and UHC Hub, advancing access to health, wellness, virtual, and digital offerings for consumers. The Product Manager will manage and oversee key partner and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements. The role is responsible for advancing vendor contracts, managing ongoing partner performance, supporting implementations, and coordinating cross-functional work across UnitedHealthcare and Optum. Working with Strategic Partnership leadership, the Product Manager will identify operational opportunities, support business recommendations, and independently manage assigned vendor relationships. The Product Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for select vendors, overseeing relationship management, performance monitoring, governance activities, contract execution, and issue resolution. The role requires the ability to navigate a complex matrixed environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive work forward with limited direction. The Manager role is a critical team member to help: Vendor Contracting: Work directly with external partners and UHC Procurement to advance contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, pricing discussions, approvals, and execution while coordinating Legal, Clinical, Compliance, Employer, Network, Operations, and Technology stakeholders Relationship Management: Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship manager for assigned Store and Hub vendors, maintain strong partner relationships, resolve issues, and support alignment between vendor performance and business objectives Vendor Performance and Governance: Manage vendor performance through scorecards, business reviews, operating metrics, growth opportunities, service-level monitoring, and governance activities; identify risks and recommend improvement actions Implementation and Portfolio Management: Support vendor onboarding, launches, enhancements, and portfolio changes while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to support delivery and operational readiness Proactive Collaboration: Independently drive initiatives, manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across UnitedHealthcare, Optum, and external partners You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of demonstrated experience in vendor management, account management, contract management, product management, consulting, procurement, or related business functions Experience in partnership management, contract negotiation, and vendor relations Experience working directly with external vendors, suppliers, or strategic partners Experience managing vendor performance, governance reviews, service-level expectations, operating metrics, or business reviews Experience independently managing multiple initiatives, changing priorities, and ambiguity while meeting commitments with limited direction Demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across cross-functional teams Demonstrated success creating and maintaining external and internal business relationships Willing and able to travel up to 10%, depending on business need Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting product launches, implementations, or operational readiness
