Summary The Vice President of Third Party Risk Operations and Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is a senior leadership role responsible for the operational governance, process excellence, technology enablement, and continuous improvement of the enterprise's Third Party Risk Operations (TPRO) and Procurement functions. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, this leader will oversee the end-to-end operating model supporting supplier onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, process optimization, and enterprise procurement capabilities. The role serves as a key strategic partner to Procurement, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and business leaders to ensure third-party risk processes are efficient, scalable, compliant, and aligned with corporate objectives. The Vice President will also lead the Procurement Center of Excellence, helping the organization drive standardization, automation, AI enablement, operating model maturity, and transformational initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and improve the stakeholder and supplier experience.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Third Party Risk Operations Lead all operational aspects of the Third Party Risk lifecycle, including onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, issue management, periodic reviews, and ongoing monitoring. Ensure efficient execution of TPRM processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and Raymond James risk management requirements. Partner with Risk Management, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Internal Audit and other subject matter experts to strengthen the organization's third-party risk program. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cycle times and improve business satisfaction while maintaining appropriate risk controls. Establish executive reporting and dashboards providing visibility into third-party risk exposure, operational performance, and remediation activities. Oversee management of critical and high-risk supplier populations and associated governance activities. Act as a key leader during regulatory examinations, audits, and risk reviews involving third-party risk practices. Procurement Center of Excellence Leadership: Key partner to the CPO in Digital Transformation, AI and Technology Strategy Serve as product lead for procurement and third-party risk technology platforms. Define and execute technology roadmaps supporting digitization, automation, and AI-driven process improvements. Lead major transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, user experience, controls, and scalability. Governance and Executive Leadership: Establish enterprise governance structures supporting procurement operations and third-party risk management. Provide strategic recommendations and decision support to senior executives and governance committees. Ensure program readiness for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal control assessments. Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices impacting third-party risk and procurement practices. Participate in executive forums and represent Procurement in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. People Leadership: Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team across procurement operations, third-party risk operations, process excellence, and analytics. Build organizational capabilities and succession planning strategies. Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures. Promote a collaborative and customer-focused culture across teams and stakeholder groups. Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Procurement, Third Party Risk Management, Supplier Management, Operational Excellence, or related disciplines.
