FID – eFX Trader - Asociate Department Overview The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products, Securitized Products, and Municipal Securities. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. Monitoring the trading system, risk management and researching new opportunities. Creating trade analytics requiring an understanding of deeper market structure. Responsible for trading and managing risk for the eFX Trading book. Actively monitoring the markets for opportunities in eFX markets. Generating trade ideas and market comments to increase the business footprint. Managing daily profit and loss reporting and utilizing quantitative knowledge for relative value analysis and valuation. Understanding a wide variety of market instruments and pricing complex risk. Provide input into research and develop trading strategies based on transaction data and market data, to increase or target trading activities and facilitate client service Provide input into creating bespoke data-driven content to highlight the value/performance offered by Morgan Stanley trading tools, including opportunities for direct client presentations/interaction What we’re looking for: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. MSc or PhD in mathematics, physics, or a similar quantitative subject. Extensive know-how of the FX market dynamics for G10 currencies. Experience in EM markets is beneficial. Deep understanding of Macro HF, Macro RM, Cross asset funds and corporate client base. Strong technical communication skills & ability to work independently. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and possess practical problem-solving skills with a great attention to detail. You can analyze and interpret complex information quickly and accurately. Familiarity with market making tools. Experience using Bloomberg and advanced Excel.
