About this role
In this role, you’ll lead research for Intuit Credit Karma, across product research, market research, and research ops for Money and Personal Finance. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing and Research, you'll set direction for the function, lead a team of senior IC researchers, managers, and a research operations leader, and partner as a peer leader across Product, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to elevate the influence of research with executive leadership. This is primarily a leadership and management role rather than an individual-contributor one — though you'll be willing to get hands-on with the work when a project calls for it.
Responsibilities
Set research vision and priorities across Intuit Credit Karma's businesses, translating business goals into a roadmap that drives measurable member and business impact. Lead complex, mixed-methods initiatives — qualitative and quantitative, brand and segmentation tracking, and experimentation partnerships — to uncover member needs and behaviors. Oversee research operations through a dedicated operations leader — recruitment and member panel, repository, tooling, and vendor and budget management — ensuring the infrastructure and processes hold a high quality bar. Set the bar for AI fluency — model AI use across the research lifecycle, raise the team's capability, and govern AI-enabled tooling with a rigorous, privacy-conscious approach to quality. Lead, grow, and develop a team of senior researchers and managers, stewarding craft, culture, and career growth. Present to executive teams and champion the visibility and reuse of insights across Credit Karma and Intuit.
Qualifications
12+ years in product (user) research, including 5+ years managing teams (with experience leading managers or senior ICs). Proven record of driving strategic product change from member insight. Deep mixed-methods proficiency — survey design, statistical analysis, and data visualization — and the ability to integrate research into product planning and prioritization. Experience leading research operations through an operations manager or team — recruitment, panel, repository, tooling, and vendor/budget. Demonstrated AI fluency as a research leader: hands-on across the lifecycle, sound judgment on its limits, and a track record of raising a team's capability while safeguarding quality and data privacy. Strong executive communication, influence and partnership capabilities.
Nice to have
Fintech or consumer-finance experience preferred. Market research experience — brand tracking, segmentation, pricing, behavioral economics— is a plus.
