Fluor is seeking an experienced Construction Manager II to support the execution of large-scale, highly modularized downstream EPC projects. This role will participate in FEED activities from the Houston office and support on-site construction execution in South Texas. The successful candidate will help lead construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. The Construction Manager II will work closely with project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate construction execution in a complex industrial environment. Experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) , WorkFace Planning (WFP) , modular construction, and EPC project delivery is essential. Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of modularized downstream EPC construction projects from FEED through completion. Oversee field construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety requirements. Ensure compliance with Fluor operating systems, project procedures, and implementation plans. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors to maximize productivity and cost efficiency. Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and schedules, implementing corrective actions when required. Provide leadership and direction to construction supervisors, superintendents, safety personnel, quality teams, and support staff. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations. Maintain quality performance through adherence to procedures, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a key liaison between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and corporate leadership. Support project controls, contract administration, workforce planning, and resource management activities. Provide timely updates on project performance, risks, and milestones to project stakeholders. Basic Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline with 16+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling 20 years . Demonstrated experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and WorkFace Planning (WFP) . Experience on large-scale modularized downstream EPC construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction management, project execution, scheduling, cost control, and industrial construction practices. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multi-billion-dollar industrial construction projects. Knowledge of project controls, contract management, workforce planning, and industrial relations. Proven leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills. Strong customer-service orientation and client relationship management experience. Excellent critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software. Other Job Requirements
