About the role We’re looking for a Project Planner to join our Programme Management team at our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4-day working week Monday - Thursday and hybrid working . Onsite working days are Monday and Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday typically worked from home subject to business needs. You’ll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end planning lifecycle — from proposal to execution — helping deliver some of the UK’s most complex and innovative engineering programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain the end-to-end lifecycle of planning and schedule management in support of programme capture and execution. Support proposal preparation planning including development of planning artefacts for solicitation response. Interfaces with program management, senior management and the contractual customer as the programs planning integrator. Support the validation of cost and schedule integration for effective program performance management. Support the vertical and horizontal integration between all schedules and other program artefacts compliant with LM's command media. Support the modelling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline. Supports the resolution of schedule conflicts, develops and implements work-around strategies and tactical alternatives. Utilises performance and health metrics to communicate actions to the programme team resulting in improved program performance. Maintenance and status updates of the IMS on a weekly & monthly basis. Support to the Maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline. Support to the Project Business Rhythm. Support to the generation of Schedule Information for client and management reviews. Required skills, qualifications and experience Experience as a Project Planner, Project Co-oridator or similar PMO / Planning role A confident individual who will ensure that best planning practice is always adhered to, even in occasional pressurised situations Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and processes Desired Skills Experience of Primavera P6 SAP cost planning & reporting Background in Defence, MoD, or other complex engineering environments
