About the Role
As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for leading Environmental, Health, Safety & Security activities across one or more PPG locations. You will ensure compliance with local legislation and PPG standards while developing and implementing strategies that promote a strong safety culture and sustainable operations. Working closely with the Site Leadership Team, Country EHS Manager, and other stakeholders, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, facilities, and the environment while supporting the achievement of business objectives. What will you do? • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site EHS Management System. • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and security regulations and PPG standards. • Develop and execute local EHS strategies aligned with business objectives and regional EHS requirements. • Partner with site leadership teams to drive a proactive safety culture and support operational excellence. • Manage EHS programs, procedures, audits, inspections, and risk assessments. • Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. • Monitor and maintain EHS performance metrics, scorecards, and KPI reporting. • Develop and deliver EHS training, awareness programs, and emergency preparedness activities. • Collaborate with Process Safety Managers and Coordinators to ensure process safety requirements are met. • Manage EHS budgets and identify opportunities for investment in EHS-related infrastructure and improvements. • Support regulatory inspections and maintain professional relationships with relevant authorities. • Facilitate local EHS leadership meetings and communicate key EHS initiatives and performance updates to stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing risk and enhancing environmental and safety performance. What do you bring? • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. • Relevant experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing, industrial, or chemical environment. • Strong knowledge of environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations. • Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems and compliance programs. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions. • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels. • Strong organizational and project management capabilities. • Professional proficiency in both English and Dutch. • Willingness to travel between sites as required.
