Boston Scientific's Active Implantable Systems (AIS) R&D organization is seeking a Principal, Change Enablement Lead to join our AI Transformation core team and drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering workflows across R&D. This is an exciting opportunitty to join a growing team that will enable the re-imaging of how work gets done across our R&D engineering functions. This role owns the human side of the transformation — building the AI champions program, developing role-specific training and enablement content, and maintaining the workflow playbooks that help engineers adopt new AI-enabled ways of working with confidence. You will partner closely with the Transformation Lead and Project Manager on communications and change-readiness tracking, and with the Corporate HR Transformation Office on ADKAR-based adoption milestones and the HR L&D team on enablement programs. The ideal candidate brings a human-centered, experience-driven approach to change and is comfortable translating complex technical transformation into clear, compelling adoption strategies for diverse engineering audiences. Your responsibilities will include
Manage and mature the existing AI champions program across AIS R&D functions, including recruiting, coordinating and supporting champions. Develop and maintain role-specific training and enablement content for AI-enabled engineering workflows. Parter with external consulting rescouces to support their work to develop and maintain workflow playbooks and adoption materials as new AI-enabled workflows move from pilot to production. Define and execute an ADKAR-based (Prosci) change strategy in partnership with the Corporate HR Transformation Office. Identify behavioral and process drivers of adoption and resistance, and translate those insights into targeted change and communication strategies. Co-lead program communications and change-readiness tracking with the Transformation Lead and Project Manager. Partner with cross-functional teams to understand audience needs, pain points and persona-based experiences, shaping tailored enablement approaches for each engineering function. Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment, secure buy-in and ensure measurable adoption outcomes across workstreams. Continuously assess and refine the change enablement strategy using adoption data, feedback and business metrics; institutionalize training content and playbooks as workflows scale.
