Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our products provide a high level of quality that meets customer expectation. This position will be responsible for assessment, design, implementation, and execution of quality programs and processes that support the continuous improvement of the business and reduction of quality incidents and customer complaints. The candidate must be an effective leader who possesses a strong aptitude for data analysis and interpretation of information, technically minded, can work with little direction, and has a good understanding of quality systems and processes. Hourly Rate $32.00 - $36.00 with $2.00 Shift Premium Night: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule
Supervise production staff, organize workflow, and ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management, accountability, motivation, and effective communication. Prepare shift staffing schedules, monitor attendance and timekeeping, and communicate personnel concerns or trends to management. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by enforcing company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Ensure product quality by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing production standards and processes. Monitor production performance, including run rates, uptime, yield, and workflow; identify issues, implement improvements, and escalate concerns as needed. Identify training gaps and utilize Single Point Lessons (SPLs) and other resources to improve employee knowledge and performance. Plan and execute daily production schedules by assigning personnel, setting priorities, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and reporting results. Analyze production and personnel data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and provide relevant information to stakeholders. Support equipment reliability by coordinating repairs and evaluating new equipment, technologies, and processes. Maintain accurate production records and provide reporting and analysis to support operational decision-making. Leverage Smart Factory, Power BI, and other digital tools to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Support cost reduction, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration across departments. Maintain current technical and professional knowledge through training, industry research, benchmarking, and professional development. Qualifications
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree / Technical schooling is preferred. 4+ years of progression in manufacturing leadership positions of growing responsibility, with a preference for experience in Packaging solutions. Solid ERP system knowledge is preferred. Working knowledge of statistical fundamentals. Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes or technical background. Lean six sigma training a plus. Green or Black belt certification preferred.
