What you will be doing As an Area Refrigeration Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the efforts of Division Refrigeration in-house refrigeration mechanics. Your duties will include ongoing training of refrigeration mechanics as new equipment, materials, and processes become available. You will also direct in-house refrigeration mechanics and/or Authorized Service Providers in the maintenance, leak rate management, service, and repairs of refrigeration, HVAC, and EMS systems in retail locations. Additionally, you will provide guidance and recommendations regarding specifications, design, scope, and bidding for all HVAC and refrigeration projects. Main responsibilities
Ensures the standardization of corporate objectives, policies, and procedures with respect to company’s implementation of in-house refrigeration maintenance programs.
Manages day-to-day operation of division-level refrigeration maintenance programs and up to 10 technicians across specific districts or stores.
Oversee HVACR maintenance program within the assigned operating area pertaining to In-house refrigeration maintenance and technicians, including service, training, safety, and compliance.
Establish best practices, processes, and procedures with other service area supervisors.
Collaborate with coordinators, safety, and compliance on day-to-day management of in-house refrigeration program and technicians.
Responsibilities involve the performance of discretionary tasks requiring considerable knowledge of HVACR equipment, the division, and company operations.
Provide recommendations and direction for all pre-construction refrigeration surveys for stores scheduled for construction, remodel, or expansion.
Provide support to the Energy Manager to achieve improved system performance and reduced energy consumption and costs.
Responsible for the proper application and handling of all refrigerants in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as compliance with company refrigerant handling policies and procedures.
Act as coordinator between the Division and Corporate in the selection of equipment and materials for remodel or upgrade projects as required.
Manage a fleet of service trucks issued to in-house mechanics.
Maintain, coordinate, and approve services for all outside vendor services as required to support HVAC, refrigeration, and EMS.
Identify, coordinate, and assign needed Preventive Maintenance projects, cleaning schedules, and waste reduction projects
Maintain accurate tracking and recording of division refrigeration compliance reporting, and train in-house mechanics and ensure compliance procedures are followed.
Provide daily support and guidance for division refrigeration HVACR inquiries and/or issues.
