J ob Su m m ary: The Electronics Assembler II works proficiently and independently with limited supervisor performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions. In addition, the Assembler III – Electronics communicates with the manufacturing team and performs visual and dimensional inspection. Electronics Assembler II Essen t i a l F unc t ions: Perform assigned assembly tasks, including component preparation, inspection, equipment operation, and support for engineering-related builds; repair and rework defective or returned assemblies using current IPC Solder Rework Certification. Prioritize daily demand per the Master Schedule, create required documentation (IT tickets, Facilities work orders, NCRs, FAIs), and complete all paperwork and work-order closeouts accurately. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, and leadership to resolve quality issues; assist in determining sequence of operations and installation requirements from drawings and instructions. Train and mentor new employees, demonstrate proficiency across multiple assembly processes, and support continuous improvement through CBS tools (5S, KPIs, Standard Work, Problem Solving). Maintain a safe, organized work environment by following OSHA and Crane safety policies, identifying hazards, and participating in area cleaning, team meetings, and job‑related training. Remain flexible and support business needs, including overtime and additional tasks assigned by management. Minim u m Q u a l i f i c a ti ons: Experience : 2-5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent training Knowledge : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Skills : Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Proficient in operating software tools (ie. Oracle, Teamcenter, QMS, Excel) Abilities : Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand-eye coordination and arm-hand steadiness; Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams; Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high volume setting Education/Certification : High School diploma or equivalent; Fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience Eligibility Requirement:  This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
