Job Area: Operations Group, Operations Group > Business Operations General Summary: ***This position is NOT eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.*** The Business Operations Analyst will support the Datacenter Business Unit (BU) by driving operational efficiency, supporting planning processes, and enabling smooth execution across the AI Datacenter business from new product introduction (NPI) to mass production through end of life. This role will provide analytical and operational support across demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) workflows, capacity and supply tracking, post‑sales operations, KPI reporting and perform excess and obsolete (E&O) analysis. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to help scale and streamline critical business processes. Key Responsibilities
Analyze, reconcile, and publish monthly and periodic demand forecasts, including forecast changes, assumptions, backlog, customer demand, and supply signals. Manage and monitor supply-and-demand balances for Data Center products, identifying shortages, excess supply, capacity constraints, inventory risks, and required actions. Support product allocation and supply prioritization across customers, programs, products, and sites from NPI through mass production based on available supply and business priorities. Set up and maintain products, product hierarchies, configurations, lifecycle attributes, and planning parameters in systems used for demand forecasting and supply planning. Support NPI readiness and product lifecycle transitions, including demand loading, ramp assumptions, product substitutions and discontinuations and transition planning. Perform E&O analysis by reviewing demand, supply, inventory, backlog, and lifecycle data; identify root causes and recommend disposition or mitigation actions. Support business operations activities including planning cycles, operational reviews, and performance and inventory tracking for the Datacenter BU. Assist with S&OP processes: consolidate demand inputs, update build plans, and support risk/mitigation analysis. Support post‑sale operations including warranty/RMA workflows, spares management, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) tracking. Help build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for capacity, forecast accuracy, supply-demand balance, allocation, cost, and service metrics; support automation and data pipeline improvements. Partner with Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, and Program Management to support execution of BU priorities. Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
Preferred Experience
Experience in business operations, supply chain, demand planning, program coordination, or related analytical roles. Understanding of demand forecasting, supply and demand management, build planning, NPI to mass production lifecycle management and supply chain fundamentals. Exposure to warranty, service, or support operations is a plus. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with operational metrics, financial processes, or hardware deployments is preferred. Experience applying AI tools to improve analysis and workflow efficiency is a plus.
