Great American’s Fidelity/Crime Division is a market-leading specialty insurance writer with deep expertise in protecting organizations against financial loss arising from employee dishonesty, forgery, computer fraud and other crime-related exposures. With deep underwriting and claims expertise, the division delivers customized specialty insurance coverage solutions to a diverse portfolio of public and private companies, financial institutions, and governmental entities. In addition to Crime coverage, the division specializes in Kidnap & Ransom (K&R) and Fine Art coverage. https://www.greatamericaninsurancegroup.com/about-us/business-operations/division/fidelity-crime   We are currently seeking a Senior Underwriter/Account Manager located in the Atlanta area for our Southeast Region. The role of this position is to produce, underwrite and manage a profitable book of Fidelity/Crime business within an assigned territory of producers in the states of GA, FL and TN.

Responsibilities

Has responsibility for moderately complex to complex risk selection / rejection, pricing, retention, growth and profitability (within scope of authority and per divisional objectives). Develops and maintains effective business relationships with internal and external customers/coworkers to attract and retain profitable business. Implements and executes territory marketing/business development plan to drive new opportunities for profitable growth. Visits producers and Insureds in order to build and maintain business relationships, retain existing accounts,  and develop new opportunities in support of divisional objectives. Interprets, explains and markets products and services to drive profitable new business growth. Receives and analyzes submissions and determines terms to offer (policy limits, deductibles, coverage options and conditions, etc.).  Prices business in accordance with company guidelines.  Assesses risk quality and compliance within company guidelines. Analyzes business reports needed in the rating and underwriting processes, including applications, financial statements and underwriting surveys. Makes recommendations on risks. Enters, maintains and monitors accounts using underwriting, analysis and desktop systems. Uses independent judgment and initiative to support business goals. Maintains a high level of customer service. Prepares effective internal and external communications on underwriting and business development issues. Administers and applies underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations. Works collaboratively with underwriting/claims colleagues and Divisional leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Insurance, Economics, Communications or other Business related fields. Generally, 5-10+ years of underwriting and/or insurance brokerage and/or insurance business development experience, with fidelity/crime and/or management liability underwriting/business development experience strongly preferred.
