Location: Preference given to candidates located in or around Fulton MD. Will also consider candidates located in or around Ann Arbor MI, Atlanta GA, Austin TX, Boston MA, Cary NC, or San Jose CA. The successful applicant will be performing work on US Government classified environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. Meet The Team : As a member of Talos, you will support cutting edge detection and mitigation technologies. You will work towards keeping yourself abreast of the latest industry threat creation and defense techniques, and you will develop proof-of-concept solutions, provide domain expertise and guide implementation to facilitate successful security posture in of Cisco’s products. Your Impact : Security research including Malware analysis and Threat Detection mitigation. Research root cause and input conditions related to a vulnerability . Write detailed technical reports, summaries, and testing methodologies Research emerging technologies, protocols, and testing methodologies Write detection content to detect and/or block threat actor activity Analyze vulnerabilities and emerging security threats and technologies. Provide critical security focused expertise to engineering organizations Minimum Qualifications : BS Degree E xperience in Threat R esearch and/or Malware Research and Analysis E xperience wit h scripting language (e.g., Python) Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Cisco networking infrastructure equipment configuration Experience with Windows, Linux and MacOS system telemetry and events Why Cisco?
