As a Senior Associate IICE, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their indirect tax positions. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. You will analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain professional and technical standards. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Mexico, you will work within our Tax practice, focusing on value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other indirect taxes. You will be part of a team that helps businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. Responsibilities - Providing strategic advice on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy to optimize client tax positions - Navigating complex indirect tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and sales tax, to support client needs - Conducting thorough tax research and analysis to inform client recommendations and strategies - Collaborating with clients to address indirect tax controversies and disputes effectively - Utilizing analytical thinking to interpret tax data and develop actionable insights - Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and other indirect tax documentation for accuracy and compliance - Engaging in customs brokerage and valuation to assist clients with international tax matters - Leveraging tax technology tools to enhance efficiency in tax preparation and reporting processes - Mentoring junior team members in understanding indirect tax concepts and client service delivery - Building and maintaining client relationships to foster trust and long-term collaboration What You Must Have - At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 2 years of experience - Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment (Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity). - Oral and written proficiency in English required What Sets You Apart - Demonstrating proficiency in Indirect Tax and VAT Compliance - Excelling in analytical thinking and problem-solving - Utilizing knowledge of customs regulations and tariffs - Engaging in international taxation and tax dispute resolution - Leveraging skills in tax technology and tax modeling - Adapting to change and embracing learning agility - Building meaningful client relationships through effective communication Travel Requirements Job Posting End Date
