DESCRIPTION: Provides nutrition expertise and operational support for clinical trial nutrition programs and services. Supports the design, implementation, and delivery of nutrition-related study requirements, including clinical trial menus, nutrition counseling, lifestyle intervention programs, and food service coordination. Collaborates with internal teams, clients, vendors, and study staff to ensure high-quality execution, regulatory compliance, and consistent delivery of nutrition services. Essential Functions and Other Job Information Major Job Responsibilities Supports nutrition services projects across single-site, multi-site, and regional clinical trials. Coordinates and implements nutrition program requirements in accordance with study protocols, project plans, and established procedures. Supports clinical trial menu development, modification, and implementation based on protocol requirements, participant needs, and applicable nutrition standards. Provides nutrition counseling, education, and/or lifestyle intervention services as required by clinical trial protocols. Reviews study protocols and related documentation to identify nutrition, dietary, food service, and lifestyle intervention requirements. Collaborates with project teams, clinical staff, food service teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to support effective delivery of nutrition services. Assists with coordination of vendors, food service requirements, supplies, and other resources needed to support clinical trial nutrition programs. Supports compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards, including OSHA, Department of Health, FDA, and state or local requirements as applicable. Maintains accurate documentation related to nutrition services, menus, participant interventions, and study requirements. Identifies operational issues or process gaps and recommends improvements to nutrition service processes and workflows. Participates in the development and implementation of nutrition-related procedures, tools, training materials, and study-specific resources. Provides nutrition subject matter expertise to internal teams and clients within the scope of assigned projects. Supports client meetings, bid defenses, presentations, and business development activities by providing nutrition-related information and expertise. Develops and delivers presentations, training, or educational materials related to nutrition services for internal and external stakeholders. Performs other nutrition-related duties as assigned based on study and operational needs. Supervision Received / Freedom to Act Works on assignments of moderate scope using established procedures, professional knowledge, and judgment. Receives general guidance regarding objectives and priorities. Work is reviewed for accuracy, quality, compliance with study requirements, and achievement of project timelines. Escalates complex, unusual, or higher-risk issues to management or senior nutrition staff as appropriate. Interactions / Business Relationships Interacts regularly with internal project teams, clinical operations staff, food service personnel, vendors, and other functional groups to coordinate nutrition-related study activities. May interact directly with clients, study participants, and external partners regarding nutrition program requirements and
