Job Description

Discover and Innovate as a Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern at EH Wachs! Your Gateway to Real-World Engineering Awaits.  As a Mechanical Engineering Intern with EH Wachs you will contribute to the development and testing of products that support the business's growth initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience applying engineering principles to real-world product development challenges while building practical skills in design, testing, data analysis, and technical communication. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain exposure to the engineering processes and cross-functional collaboration that bring innovative products from concept to market. What You’ll Do Support prototype development, product testing, and evaluation activities. Create and update CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. Support Engineering Change activities to improve existing product performance and address field issues. Analyze test data using Excel and other analytical tools to identify trends, investigate results, and support root cause analysis. Create work instructions and technical reports that communicate test procedures, results, and recommendations clearly and accurately. Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, share findings, and support new product development and product improvement activities. What You Need to Succeed Must-Have Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong mechanical aptitude, curiosity and a desire to learn and apply new knowledge. Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD modeling tools, and fundamental engineering principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Initiative, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Disciplined personality with self-driven organization and time-management skills. Nice-to-Have Previous engineering internship, laboratory, project team, or other hands-on technical experience. Experience with product testing, technical documentation, data analysis, or root cause analysis. Exposure to industrial products, manufacturing environments, or related industries.

Compensation

Information: The base pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is: $ 24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
