This role partners with cross-functional teams—including GTM, Sales, Product, Finance, Corporate Development, and IT—to gather requirements, analyze business processes, track integration activities, and support successful transaction outcomes. The Business Analyst translates business needs into clear requirements, plans, and insights throughout the M&A lifecycle. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, collaborative, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll Do
Support IT workstreams across the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, and post-close integration. Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements with functional stakeholders and system owners. Analyze current-state processes, systems, data, and dependencies to identify integration needs, risks, and opportunities. Translate business requirements into process flows, user stories, functional requirements, and actionable work plans. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track milestones, deliverables, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies. Assist with systems assessments and rationalization activities across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, collaboration tools, identity management, and data environments. Support the development and tracking of integration key performance indicators, synergies, and transaction-value measures. Prepare status reports, dashboards, governance materials, and leadership updates. Facilitate working sessions, document decisions and action items, and follow up with owners to support timely completion. Maintain and improve M&A IT playbooks, templates, process flows, checklists, and other integration tools. Identify process improvement opportunities and help develop repeatable practices for future transactions. Support change-management, testing, data-migration, and business-readiness activities as needed. What you need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, information systems, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, project coordination, IT operations, or a related role. Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, analyzing data, and supporting cross-functional technology initiatives. Familiarity with the M&A lifecycle or IT integration activities is preferred. Working knowledge of enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms, as well as cloud and collaboration technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in global or matrixed organizations is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
