About this role
We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Branch Controller within our Corporate Finance team to help support the Elite Comfort Solution branches located in Maryland, Conover and Verona. As Branch Controller you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of operational and cross functional discussions to drive the business to greater results. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by using analytical skills to drive the business financial success. So, what will you be doing as a Branch Controller?
Complete month end close for branches responsible for
Own the P&L and ensure everything is properly accounted for Inventory reconciliation Review standard vs actual gap and help branch management understand what is causing the differences Review statements with branch management
Capital Expense Projects
Review capital expense project request, ensuring process is being followed Submit capital expense project request through RAM system Track project expenses and ensure timely closing of all projects.
Inventory Valuation
Ensure proper landed costs of all material, labor, variable and fixed costs
Segregation of Duties
Review roles assigned to branch employees and ensure no unmitigated violations exist
Assist with internal and external audits Other tasks as determined by management
To be successful in this role, you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Experience with Dynamics D365 preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, preference in manufacturing Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment High degree of professionalism and ethical standards Strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills Excellent communication skills Must be detail oriented and well organized A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Excel
