Reimagine What’s Possible  Position Name SENIOR ACCOUNTANT General Position Purpose The position is to assist the Manager Accounting in dealing with local GAAP statutory audit, corporate tax reporting and other regulatory agencies requirements for Korea Entities. As part of assisting role to the Manager, this position will also provide recommendation on process documentation & maintenance and driving of change towards process improvement from his/her daily activities. The position will reside in Korea office. Description Responsibility This position is mainly focus on local GAAP statutory and tax related matters for Korea. Professional experience and education The incumbent should possess a degree in accounting and finance with at least 5 years experience. The individual should also exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, independent initiative, planning and organizing skills, and should have a proven ability to solve problems. Strong conceptual and analytical skills are also required. This position requires the incumbent to have a thorough understanding of banking payment process, local tax regulations (VAT filing), audit process and ability to interact with senior management, external auditors, tax authority and other agencies. Knowledge of Accounting Application Skills especially SAP and ability to quickly learn is also required. Knowledge requirements KSOX, IFRS Accounting Standard, US GAAP (preferably) and Taxation (Korea). Language requirements English – Mandatory Tasks Description Monthly Local GAAP analytical review and reconciliation with any adjustments deemed necessary. Co-ordination and drafting Statutory Financial Statement and KSOX requirement. Certification reconciliation with preparer role for local GAAP. Liaise with Company Corporate Secretary on all Directors' Resolution and minutes of meeting required for all statutory reporting. Statutory Surveys to Government Bodies if any. Assist SBS team on complex payments/receipts; Foreign currency payment/collection Corporate income tax filing and payment. Return to accruals ("RTA") for local GAAP Credit and Adjustment update on quarterly Corporate Tax. Analysis on WHT GL account to ensure WHT certificates are duly received from our customers for the purpose of Foreign Tax Credit and Double Tax Relief Any other ad-hoc duties and project improvement as and when deemed necessary.
