 POSITION OVERVIEW The Department Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing maintenance leadership for multiple platform maintenance team as well as ownership for reliability metrics, budget adherence, and Asset Care Strategy progression. The Department Maintenance Manager is responsible for direct reports, including but not limited to Maintenance Asset Care Leaders, Maintenance Capability Specialists, General Mechanics, Lead Mechanics, and Control Technicians. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager, engineering, external support partners, and vendors. This opening is for 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday (hours may fluctuate and flexibility is needed based on business needs). KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Food and Human Safety Leadership (15%) Cultivate Human Safety Culture Cultivate Food Safety Culture Identifies and address safety risks related to maintenance activities (standard and non-standard) Leadership of the Maintenance Team (55%) Care for your whole team and foster retention and engagement Commitment to personal growth and open to feedback Develop and foster a communication network that promotes interaction between mechanics, operators, Platform Teams, controls technicians, engineers, and managers Active leadership to ensure department has a robust Maintenance and Reliability OGSMP Manage the integrity and maintenance of all department assets, including production equipment, facilities and utility equipment Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Plant Leadership, Asset Care Leaders, Operations, Storeroom personnel, Engineers, and Mechanics Engage in strategy, direction, and execution discussions for maintenance/reliability and department-wide initiatives Onboard, develop, train, and mentor all direct reports Create a proactive work environment that involves mechanics in the planning, coordinating, and execution of work Ensure effective utilization of plant maintenance resources Foundational Systems (10%) Manufacturing information and data for decision making Production system knowledge and metrics Maximo data integrity and adherence to Maximo standards Owns Planned Maintenance Pillar locally and provides leadership to ensure that Maintenance Team Leaders and Planners develop an Equipment Reliability Program that incorporates the 12 systems of Planned Maintenance Assist with capital planning and project implementation coordination for the department Responsible for Maintenance Department budget and drives accountability through the team Develop and lead all necessary department shut-down activities Coach and develop Asset Care Leaders, Maintenance Capability Specialists, and others on the use of foundational systems Develop expertise in the maintenance organization on all electrical and controls platforms Sustaining Performance and Improving Results (15%) Establish maintenance prevention specifications to ensure the plant and equipment is reliable and easily maintained Responsible for all department maintenance metrics and the maintenance team’s adherence to improvement Ensure all department improvement action plans are compliant with standards set forth by the FDA, OSHA, EPA, HAACP, and any other governing agencies/entities by which we manage our business Application of predictive maintenance technology to increase reliability and increase planned maintenance activity Back-up for others on your team (5%)
