Overview
William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is hiring for a Junior Estimator with with the primary responsibilities of this role to include providing document review and accurate quantity takeoff for heavy civil construction proposals. This position will work closely with the estimating staff and perform under their direction. Responsibilities • Review, analyze and interpret contract documents for complete understanding of the work to perform accurate quantity takeoffs • Develop subcontractor and supplier scope packages and perform detailed outreach to procure pricing coverage as required • Coordinate with lead estimators and provide support as needed to include bidding assigned scopes of work • Document management, collecting information and completing basic bid deliverable forms and subcontractor and supplier quotes • Effective communication and interaction with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers • Company representation at pre-bids and site visits Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
