About this role
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, US Card Acquisitions, is a member of the U.S. Co-brand Card Acquisitions team and plays a key role in driving growth across the Marriott Bonvoy® American Express® Card portfolio. This position supports the development, execution, optimization, and measurement of acquisition marketing initiatives across Marriott-owned, partner, and paid channels.
The role will work closely with senior team members, bank partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders to execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive card acquisitions and support broader portfolio growth objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented marketer with great attention to detail and strong project management, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills who can successfully operate in a highly regulated marketing environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related major
4+ years of relevant professional experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a track record of strong performance
Experience managing and executing cross-functional marketing, technology, or business initiatives in a large, matrixed organization
Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations
Experience with project management, communication, and stakeholder management
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
Experience in co-brand, loyalty, credit card, payments, financial services, travel, or other highly regulated marketing environments
Experience managing acquisition marketing campaigns across digital channels
Experience working with external agencies and strategic partners
Experience developing campaign briefs and managing creative development processes
Experience with testing, optimization, and performance-based marketing strategies
Experience using Workfront or similar project management platforms
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Acquisition Marketing Execution
Support acquisition marketing efforts for the Marriott Bonvoy® American Express® Card portfolio across Marriott-owned, partner, and paid channels, including Marriott.com, mobile, email, paid media, and on-property marketing.
Develop marketing briefs and partner with agencies and internal teams to execute campaigns accurately and on schedule.
Manage day-to-day campaign execution, quality assurance, reporting, and issue resolution.
Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and business results.
Support new product launches, offer updates, and other strategic marketing initiatives.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Compile, analyze, and interpret campaign performance data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
Develop test plans and support optimization efforts across acquisition channels.
Evaluate campaign, channel, and audience performance to inform future marketing strategies.
Translate business and customer insights into actionable recommendations.
Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and evolving customer behavior to identify opportunities and risks.
Partner & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with bank partners, agencies, and cross-functional Marriott stakeholders.
Coordinate with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Brand, Loyalty, Digital, and Operations teams to ensure successful campaign delivery.
Support alignment across stakeholders to drive execution of acquisition marketing initiatives and business priorities.
Partner with agencies and vendors to manage project execution, invoicing, licensing, and ongoing performance management.
