 Security Clearance Status: Not Required B/E Aerospace, Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Reliability Engineering in Lenexa, KS. Occasional national and international travel may be required (1–2 times per year) to support product field reliability activities and root cause identification. What YOU will do
Develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluate engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs. Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compile and analyze performance reports, process control statistics, and relevant variables potentially affecting product and process. Includes possible development of mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing.
Qualifications
You Must Have Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design Engineer, Test Engineer, Product Engineer or related role within aerospace or other highly regulated hardware industries. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design Engineer, Test Engineer, Product Engineer or related role within aerospace or other highly regulated hardware industries would be acceptable. Must possess at least 3 years of experience leading Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree). Must possess at least 3 years of experience analyzing field, factory, and warranty data to drive reliability improvements. Must possess at least 3 years of experience developing or automating reliability calculation tools, dashboards, or data-driven analytics to support predictions, trade studies, and decision-making. Must possess at least 3 years of experience applying airworthiness and certification requirements applicable to aircraft interior or electro-mechanical systems.
