Customer Engineering Product Specialist

We are looking for a talented Customer Engineering Product Specialist to join our team specializing in engineering for our Cummins’ business in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Partner with Subject Matter Experts, VPI teams, and OEM customers to deliver critical product data, installation requirements, and technical guidance that enable successful equipment integration and performance. Influence OEM machine quality, reliability, and optimization by making informed decisions on product selection, application design, and system integration strategies. Drive continuous improvement in installation quality and engineering processes by leveraging tools such as Advisor, COLS, and GCE to support efficient, data-driven decision making. Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, building trusted relationships while managing specifications, product changes, technical inquiries, and complex installation issue resolution. Translate customer feedback and Voice of the Customer insights into functional product requirements, ensuring customer needs are reflected in product development and program decisions. Champion customer and market requirements within Cummins by participating in new product development programs, design reviews, and product change initiatives. Ensure successful product application and installation by validating prototype performance, maintaining compliance with Cummins installation standards, and utilizing ALD and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize results. Lead business-impacting projects and technical initiatives while mentoring engineers, improving work processes, influencing technical direction, and serving as a recognized subject matter expert within the organization.
