The Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit Team has a great opportunity to step into the procurement role in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment, managing supplier performance and the entire purchase order life cycle (requirements including supplier development, requirement solicitations, Purchase Order award, post-award management) for DoD, FMS, and DCS customers within the procurement team. Advanced Technology is the at the forefront of the latest new developments in technology including advanced radars, hypersonics, missile defense and much more. Raytheon Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) is seeking a strong candidate to join our energetic, and collaborative environment in support of the Advanced Technology procurement team. The selected individual will be responsible for procurement efforts in support of multiple development programs within the early stages including R&D, proposal captures, engineering manufacturing and development, and low-rate production. In this role, you will support development programs by placing and managing orders for a wide range of products. A good candidate for this role will learn quickly, be very resourceful and detail oriented, solve problems, and collaborate well. This is a fully remote position from any location in the U.S.
What You Will Do
Preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations/Proposals Placement & maintenance of purchase orders and associated change orders Perform price analysis, negotiate price, delivery, scope, and terms & conditions. Manage day to day purchasing activities to ensure the organization/ programs have the materials, goods, and services needed to operate fast and efficiently Prepare POs and PO documentation in accordance with company directives, prime contract flow downs and company work instructions. Post-award management of POs to be handled in accordance with company directives and work instructions Issue and conflict resolution of medium/high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to achieve objectives Research products, suppliers, and material selections Tracking supplier proposal status and compliance to Raytheon RFPs Support program proposal teams and centralized quoting team in support of Raytheon proposals Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or in the absence of a degree, equivalent experience with supply chain and related systems including: procurement, production control, materials management, planning, or operations.
