Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. The Test Solutions Engineering team, part of the Hardware Discipline Center, specializes in delivering innovative solutions for our products. These test solutions are pivotal in supporting the lifecycle of weapon system products, from engineering development and production environments to field operations and long-term sustainment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical solutions for advanced test systems. This hands-on opportunity involves conceptualizing, designing, and implementing mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art technologies. You will contribute to all phases of the mechanical design lifecycle, from initial concept and CAD modeling to prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting, gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
What You Will Do
Research, plan, and design mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical environments Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions Develop mechanical solutions that support the full product lifecycle from development to sustainment Utilize CAD solid modeling tools to create detailed design drawing package Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, such as CREO or equivalent Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards Qualifications We Prefer Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) or Model Based Design (MBD) Previous experience in a production or aerospace testing environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to mechanical malfunctions Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment Learn More & Apply Now!
