Receiving Coordinator, Distribution Center and Logistics

The Receiving Coordinator will support the department supervisors with their respective roles that include the return of freight back to vendors, supporting and reaching out to vendors and our purchasing team to get shipment details when vendor forget to provide Carnival details. Reach out to our ships for Amazon shipments and support vice versa when ships reach for their due shipments. This role will also support moving freight when needed with the forklift, reach truck and pallet jack. In addition, logging and keeping track of shipments being sent back to the mailroom for a return to vendor. Maintaining a so-called vendor access list for the respective homeports and help review any large shipments that may need a loading plan from the ship. This position will also assist with the truck ordering of temperature-controlled trailers, frozen and chilled. Essential Functions: Resolve shipments that arrive with no paperwork or missing important details like ship’s name, PO number, department name, includes Amazon shipments. Use program created to log and process these shipments using RF gun to generate labels for shipping. Act as liaison between corporate port operations and warehouse for our destination ports and our multiple service providers. Process return to vendor freight via mailroom and other logistic partners. Generate digital record via Excel for mailroom deliveries for record keeping. Monitor and complete vendor access lists for our homeports. Communicate with all homeports and share the list needed for drivers to gain access to the port. Support port security and port agents by providing the following list. Review container and airfreight pre-alerts for bulk shipments and overweight, oversized items. Prepare pallet counts for frozen / chilled food consolidations and order trailers. Pull report for total value of product to understand how many delivery units will need to be ordered. Ordering of frozen/ chill units done on a daily basis.
