What you will be doing
You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Certification Engineer I and can expect to be involved in the following: Support the creation and review of certification documentation related to Type Certification (TC), changes to TC and Continued Airworthiness of the fleet.. Support the development and management of Certification Plans . Identifying applicable and affected Aircraft Regulations impacted by changes and repairs. Typical tools used are: MS Word and Excel, Google Suite and Airbus proprietary tools. In the first few months you will learn Airbus Process, Methods and Tools related to Airworhtiness Certification of Airbus aircraft from new delivery to in-service repairs and modifications. You will work closely with a wide range of internal teams including design office specialists, repair specialists and Certification team members to gather data needed for Certification. Overseas placements are determined on either project need basis or employee development need. US based rotational placements will center on Airbus Americas Engineering locations. Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. At the end of the two year development programme, you will have developed into the position of Certification Engineer II.
