Lead Software Engineer, Commerce Services

Docusign is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Product Led Growth team. You will execute on all aspects of the software development lifecycle for our e-commerce application. You thrive in fast-paced environments, solving difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. Finally, you enjoy helping the team succeed through process improvements, mentorship, and modeling engineering best practices. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager, Commerce Services.

Write high-quality code, primarily in C#, that is easy to maintain and test Maintain and develop automated tests for your code Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, version control systems (GIT) Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments Diagnose and resolve production impacting issues and maintain the code as needed Set up telemetry and monitoring on production applications and services Be responsible for complete backend development of new features Work with and across organizations to help architect complete end-to-end backend solutions Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Strong object-oriented design and programming skills 10+ years of professional experience building scalable and testable APIs in C#/.Net or Java Hands-on, professional experience integrating with both internal and external APIs Preferred Experience with GraphQL Experience with NoSQL Knowledge of Azure/Azure DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes Experience in designing and implementing high performance Microservices using REST/gRPC Passion for learning and working with new technologies Experience with product development and building large scale web applications Care deeply about writing high-performance, reusable code for components that will be used across our product Experience designing and developing highly scalable consumer-facing APIs Familiarity with front end web technologies Familiarity with SaaS eCommerce and multichannel web marketing Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
