Fire Systems Sales Rep Johnson Controls helps commercial customers protect people, property, and operations through fire, security, and building systems solutions. In this role, you will focus on growing service agreement sales for fire-related systems and building a strong pipeline of new and existing customer opportunities.
Role
Overview We are looking for a motivated sales professionals who can develop customer relationships, identify service needs, and sell planned service agreements for commercial building systems. This role combines territory development, consultative selling, proposal creation, and follow-up to help customers make informed decisions and to support sales plan objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell planned service agreements for commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspections. Establish contact with prospects and existing customers to qualify opportunities and build a healthy sales pipeline. Develop trusted customer relationships through consistent follow-up, responsive communication, and professional account management. Identify customer needs and build a sales strategy that aligns with the building, account, and service opportunity. Conduct building surveys to support estimating, proposal development, and accurate pricing. Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations that support the close of business. Track sales activity, correspondence, expenses, and competitive information accurately and on time. Provide clear forecasting, maintain territory records, and keep internal stakeholders informed of pipeline status. Use Salesforce to manage activity, follow-up, and sales reporting. Collaborate with district operations and service teams to support customer needs and improve service delivery. You will use candid communication and practical problem-solving to improve proposals, follow-up, and forecasting every day. Maintain a disciplined sales process from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close. Use customer conversations, surveys, and internal input to shape practical solutions that match the account. Keep records current in Salesforce so reporting, follow-up, and pipeline reviews are accurate and useful.
Qualifications
At least 3 years experience in B2B sales, account development, or service agreement sales in a commercial environment. Knowledge of NICET certification requirements or local municipal codes related to fire jobs. Ability to sell technical or facility-related Fire Systems solutions by understanding customer needs and decision drivers. Knowledge of commercial building systems, ideally including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, or inspections.
