Project Engineering Co-op Reference #44061 Waterdown, Ontario     About L3HARRIS WESCAM As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro1-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

This is a 16 month co-op term (with 12 month terms occasionally available). You will get to work  within the Project Engineering team, offering engineering support to the production and service teams to develop and repair Wescam Products.

Assist in the creation and tracking of upgrade plans for customer assets Assist in the generation of and review all project/product documentation such as specifications, work statements, presentation & review material, reliability & quality reports design documentation, technical publications and verification plans/reports Assist in investigating, designing and implementing next generation systems including optical, electronic and mechanical components Take on opportunities for technical projects such as feature releases, product development, etc. Collaborate with multiple departments on fast-paced support requests   Required Capabilities  Experience with electro-mechanical systems, optic or laser devices is an asset Familiarity with Solidworks or other similar design tools Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills Action-oriented and quick-responding Able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize work Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications Excellent verbal, written communication and organization skills   Desired Education and Experiences  University - enrolled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering program or the equivalent   Diversity & Inclusion We believe that diversity among our employees makes us a stronger organization.
