Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Overhead Wiring (OHW) discipline lead for Australia and New Zealand. This strategic leadership role will act as the principal technical authority for OHW design across ANZ while driving capability growth, team development and work winning. This role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow AECOM’s Overhead Wiring discipline across ANZ Serve as the principal technical authority for OHW design and engineering delivery. Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to engineers across multiple regions. Undertake design reviews, technical assurance and governance activities. Support major heavy rail, metro and transit projects. Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships. Drive business development, proposals and work winning activities. Support workforce planning, strategic recruitment and capability development. Collaborate with sector managers, team managers and regional rail leaders across ANZ. Influence strategy, capability and future growth of the OHW business. Work alongside leading rail specialists on major infrastructure programs.
Qualifications
Relevant Engineering degree. Extensive experience in overhead wiring design and rail electrification. Demonstrated leadership within a consulting environment. Strong understanding of Australian rail standards and delivery frameworks. Sydney Trains experience (highly preferred). Experience leading teams, mentoring staff and managing stakeholders. Business development and client engagement capability. CPEng or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
