Job Description
Pay: $21.50 Assurance Personnel are responsible for ensuring that all products released from the site meet defined customer requirements. This shall be accomplished using effective manufacturing methods with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing scrap. This role provides quality support to production. Support the Quality Department’s efforts to improve outgoing product quality and department efficiency throughout the operation. Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to:
o Company and facility Policies o Safety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules o Quality – PQCT/Inspection Plans, Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures o SOPs – Methods for performing work o SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean) o Good Manufacturing Practices o Food/Safety Security o HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) o Food Regulatory and Customer Spec
Accountable for ensuring that product testing is performed per the PQCT/Inspection Plan for all article types Perform product audits as needed to ensure ongoing quality Responsible for start-up and in-process verification tests and document results to specification and meet all quality requirements Accountable for understanding specifications and PQCT/Inspection plans for various product types Ensure that quality product standards are upheld and that any suspect product is identified, held, and handled in accordance with established practices, including recording appropriate data in Non-Conforming/Hold database, and communicating status to Quality Facilitator and Shift Lead Verify any “out of control” conditions and report to the appropriate staff – Mold Tech, Operator, Shift Lead; follow up to ensure appropriate adjustments are made, and product/process is acceptable Participate in daily shift pass-on meetings to ensure any issues or product concerns are communicated to on-coming personnel Answer any quality questions generated by mold techs/operators/packers/shift leads as to what is acceptable, marginal, or defective Works as a valuable Team member to accomplish business goals and objectives:
o Assist in verification of raw materials o Work together with all plant personnel to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize production performance o Actively participate during DOE, Gage R&R, or other studies relating to process improvement as directed by Quality Facilitator o Participate in investigations and corrective actions for quality issues or customer complaints o Support product retesting / re-inspection on Holds and
