General Manager Production

SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the overall operation of the assigned business area, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of high-quality products in accordance with company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include: Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the assigned area. Providing supervisors with the information, materials, resources, and training needed to achieve production, quality, and safety goals. Monitoring and maintaining records related to attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Promoting continuous improvement by encouraging new ideas and supporting Team Member-driven initiatives. Analyzing non-routine operational issues and providing recommendations and solutions to the Plant Manager. Ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, as well as all applicable federal and state requirements. Managing all aspects of the assigned operation, including: Safety Production yields Product quality Team Member relations Turnover and absenteeism Discipline and performance management Payroll Staffing Line speeds   QUALIFICATIONS :  Education : Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.  Experience : 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations. Processing management experience preferred.  Computer Skills : Basic computer skills.  Communication Skills : Strong communication skills.  Travel : As required.
