Standard Job Description Manages multiple manufacturing planning, material management and support activities within various manufacturing job functions responsible for Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. These may include but not limited to, Make, Buy, Bill of Material (BOM) Planning, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Warehousing and Shipping. Over sees production systems integrity and drives inventory optimization to minimize cost. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in supply chain management or similar field, or equivalent professional experience Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage shift schedules, and drive performance Ability to quickly diagnose material flow issues and implement root‑cause corrective actions Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable interacting with senior leadership and external logistics partners Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance Desired Skills Experience with SAP or other ERP systems Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain Inventory control and material handling knowledge Experience in aerospace, defense, or high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environments Understanding of DOT regulations Familiarity with Hazardous material handling Interview Questions Make effective decisions: Give me an example of a time you had to make a decision and you needed to carefully consider a great deal of conflicting, as well as supporting, information.
