 Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding patient service by communicating with empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness. Coordinate follow-up appointments, specialty referrals, diagnostic testing, imaging, and urgent scheduling needs. Obtain and validate prior authorizations, referrals, and certifications to ensure timely access to care. Manage patient communications, including appointment reminders, confirmation calls, and follow-up coordination. Monitor provider schedules, waitlists, recalls, and outstanding items to maximize access and operational efficiency. Support financial processes by identifying authorization needs, collecting applicable patient balances, and connecting patients with financial resources when appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation, message routing, and medical record processes to support continuity of care. Promote a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment while responding appropriately to patient concerns and needs. Collaborate with providers, clinical teams, and support staff to ensure seamless care coordination and positive patient outcomes. Demonstrate Presbyterian's CARES values through collaboration, accountability, respect, engagement, and service.

Qualifications

Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of short-term training in Medical Terminology preferred. Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding required.

Experience

Minimum of 18 months of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting with significant provider interaction. Experience managing prior authorizations, referrals, and insurance certifications required. Must successfully complete EPIC Registration competency following Epic Clerical Training. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Exceptional customer service and patient communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding. Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and collaborate effectively with providers, patients, and healthcare teams. Professional Requirements Successfully complete annual competency assessments for all assigned responsibilities. Participate in required departmental, staff, and organizational meetings, including Quarterly MSO Meetings, Staff Meetings, and Employee Forums.
