The Role Looking for a best-in-class opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with fundamental analysis and the investment research process? The Equity Research Associate internship program gives interns the chance to obtain and develop the core research skills needed to jumpstart a successful and lucrative career in investment management. The program is led by our director of research, and each intern will be paired with a peer in the research department who will mentor them throughout the summer. Throughout the 10-week program, interns will support real investment decisions by: Conducting autonomous research on three stocks across different sub-sectors. Building financial models, completing financial analysis, and conducting proprietary research. Communicating with corporate management teams, industry experts, and Wall Street analysts, to develop investment recommendations for our funds. Collaborating with fellow interns and utilizing the vast network of Fidelity managing directors of research, analysts and portfolio managers. Pitching stock recommendations to internal portfolio managers. The Expertise and Skills You Bring We are seeking candidates who have the following characteristics: Class of 2028 Bachelor’s degree candidates Proven academic success with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher Conversational Japanese preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive, seeks additional responsibilities and learning opportunities Strong analytical and quantitative skills Demonstrated expertise using Excel Highly motivated independent problem solvers, ability to think outside of the box and bring a unique perspective High levels of integrity Demonstrated initiative and intellectual interest in studies/extracurricular activities related to the financial markets Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints The Team Fidelity Investments has long been a leader in managing equity portfolios, with roots dating back to the 1940s.
