Overview The Adjustor is responsible for adjustment and commissioning of elevators and escalators in compliance with Otis safety standards, ensuring timely delivery, quality documentation, and on-site technical support. Key Responsibilities · Be fully conversant and compliant with Otis EH&S policies · Follow safety procedures as per Otis safety standards. · Ensure adherence to ethics guidelines. · Understand layout drawings, Field Installation Manual, wiring diagrams and procedures. · Responsible for adjustment/commissioning of elevators, escalators and travelators as per Otis Field Installation Manual including high-speed gearless units. · Manage test engineers on multi-unit sites ensuring safe and efficient commissioning · Provide technical support and upskilling of test engineers. · Audit test and EN81 compliance handover documentation. · Liaise with clients during testing on large multi-unit sites and attend Commissioning meetings. · Take quality readings and ensure seamless handover from New Equipment to Service. · Support service teams during Quality Operating Period on technical issues. · Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical faults and conduct RRCA. · Prepare installation inspection reports, field test data, safety check reports, and Otis safety audits · Report on-site field turnbacks at product level · Ensure 100% on-time delivery to customers · Address and acknowledge all internal customer complaints Qualification & Requirements · Diploma in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics · 2 to 5 years of experience in Elevator Industry as Adjustor What You Need to Be Successful at Otis · Customer‑Centric Mindset Otis is committed to being a world‑class, customer‑focused service company, success begins with understanding and caring for customer needs. · Problem‑Solving & Technical Curiosity Innovation is core to Otis’ heritage—Being curious, analytical, and apply engineering principles. · Empowerment We encourage and support smart risk taking with ownership and accountability. · Collaboration & Communication We work together as a one team we partner, create connections and contribute across Otis. · Future‑Focused Mindset Otis looks for individuals who are smart, adaptive, digitally aware, and excited to shape the future of smarter, safer mobility.
