Job Description
Shift: Night Shift Premium Amount: $1.00 Pay Rate: $20.50 Position Overview The primary function of the Quality Control Technician position is ensuring that all products released from the Ashland site meet defined customer requirements. Working as a member of the production team to maintain the facility safety, quality, and productivity standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Accountable for ensuring that product testing is performed per the PQCT for specific bag type (i.e. Dairy, Barrier). • Perform product testing as needed to ensure on-going quality. • Accountable for comprehending specifications and PQCT. • Ensure that quality product standards are upheld and that any suspect product is identified, held, and handled in accordance to established practices and communicating status to Shift Supervisor. • Ensure appropriate adjustments are made by Operator. • Verify correct raw materials are used per bag specifications. • Relieve inspectors/packers for breaks. • Participate in investigations and corrective actions for quality issues or customer complaints. • Aid in product retesting/re-inspection on Holds and Returns. • Complete all documentation completely and accurately. • Assist in the training of other personnel in the quality department. • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Inspector/Packer training preferred. Specific Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment Equipment & Machinery: None required. Computer Experience & Software: Basic computer skills, WMS knowledge preferred.
