What You Will Do
As a Systems Engineer at Raytheon, you will integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you will support elements of program development, engineering testing, integration, field testing, production, system deployment, and/or post deployment support across the product lifecycle. You will get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.
What You Will Learn
Supporting engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system Troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment System integration and test support, possibly including live fire test events Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB Support qualification of our products Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) & drawing (Schematics & Assembly Drawings) Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders Maintain engineering databases Qualifications You Must Have Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.) Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications
We Prefer Strong undergraduate level understanding of electrical, mechanical and/or software system integration, familiarity with C/C++/C# preferred Experience with tools, such as MATLAB or Python scripting, for instrumentation and collection of large data sets, data analysis and automation Ability to analyze issues and define solutions Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
