About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality, safety and continuous improvement, and who enjoys supporting and developing others. As a Senior Operator, you will lead by example on the production floor, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a role model for the team, providing day-to-day guidance and support to colleagues while working closely with the Team Leader to achieve production targets and maintain operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrates professionalism, and has the confidence to make informed decisions while promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out manufacturing activities safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of professionalism, teamwork and accountability at all times. Support the Team Leader in the day-to-day running of the production area, helping to ensure production plans are delivered safely and on schedule. Provide guidance, coaching and support to operators, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices across the team. Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to perform their roles effectively. Monitor production activities, identify potential issues and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate them. Ensure production records and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and team performance. Support investigations into production or quality issues and contribute to identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure equipment and work areas remain clean, organised and fit for purpose. Encourage open communication, collaboration and a positive team culture where everyone is accountable for delivering high standards.

You are approachable, dependable and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels. You are comfortable supporting others, making decisions within your area of responsibility and helping the team overcome day-to-day challenges. Skills and Experience
Essential Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding of health and safety, quality and good manufacturing practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise work and
