Job Title Lead Engineer Location London Corporate Title Vice President   You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows. Participate in code reviews to ensure high engineering standards across the team Contribute to platform modernization and strategy – play an important role in the modernisation of the fixed income tech stack by influencing platform direction, and driving adoption of modern tooling and frameworks   Your skills and experience Proven experience building complex, high-performance applications using modern Java, with understanding of concurrency, memory management and reactive programming models Deep expertise in building complex, high-performance applications using modern front-end tooling (e.g. vite, nx, playwright) Hands-on experience delivering low-latency, event-driven UIs that handle large, rapidly changing data sets, leveraging technologies such as WebSockets, SSE and Rx Strong understanding of distributed system design principles, event-driven architectures, and technologies such as Solace, Kafka or RabbitMQ Solid experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs with good knowledge of SQL and relational database design, and familiarity in deploying services using containerization and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes in a production environment Track record of promoting engineering excellence through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and architectural decision-making to ensure maintainable and scalable systems.
