About your team The Finance team is responsible for management reporting, analysis, business planning and special projects for various business units within Fidelity Canada. The team's main focus is to support these business groups in achieving their objectives by identifying issues, recommending solutions, providing financial transparency and value-added financial assessments. This is achieved by establishing strong ties with these client groups while meeting the needs and interests of all stakeholders. About your role The successful individual is an articulate and analytical financial professional who will utilize their technical and relationship building skills to provide support to the Decision Support and Business Unit Support groups within Fidelity Canada, while managing the needs and interests of many stakeholders including senior management. As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, financial analysis, performance measurement and business planning. Beyond recurring deliverables, the role holder will be expected to conduct ad hoc analysis across Fidelity Canada business. This requires the ability to synthesise complex financial and operational data into clear insights at short notice, always with the utmost discretion given the confidential nature of the work. Key Responsibilities Develop, manage and regularly present a framework to address the needs of the business, including flash and management reports. Proactive support of the P&L and headcount reporting. Provide analytical insights on key performance drivers, increasing transparency for business leaders. Provide financial analysis for emerging business opportunities, trends and financial results. Develop appropriate key performance indicators / success measures and develop post implementation assessments against the relevant measures. Proactive support of quarterly business reviews. Facilitate the annual business planning/budgeting and quarterly forecasting process while providing overall financial stewardship, expense management and support for other ad hoc projects. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and performance frameworks, enabling senior leaders to track metrics and KPIs aligned with strategy. Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, bringing forward-looking analysis rather than retrospective reporting. Influence and manage stakeholders to drive cultural change towards data-driven decision-making. About you Qualified CA/MBA with up to 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience. Strong financial analysis skills including, knowledge of accounting principles and industry standard packages. Shows high attention to detail, particularly when reviewing the works of others, and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed. Proficient in knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; including Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of HFM, Power BI, Tableau, Knime would be an advantage.
