Job Description
Primary Function : The Warehouse Material Handler/CDL Driver is responsible to Pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pickup, pull product, move product with lift truck/turret truck within the warehouse. The CDL driver regularly moves empty and loaded trailers between warehouse locations either by over-the-road tractors or yard trucks. Essential Functions : Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety. Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of others. Authorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event Understands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives Follows all Company policies and procedures Provide Daily Safety Briefing Manage yard, shuttle trailers from Plant to offsite warehousing. Unload and prepare scrap loads Manage trailer pool Provide accurate tranactions with MEP/JDE. Maintains an accurate cycle count of product Moves product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse Drives lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers trucks as required Maintains row tags for material staged on the floor Works overtime when required Operates the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed Inspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct Loads racks in warehouse with finished goods. Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties Required to assist wherever needed Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times Performs safety check before using forklift each shift Adheres to Attendance guidelines Follows all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines Safety Commitment : Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety.
